As a result of a member of staff being tested positive for the COVID-19 infection today, Monday, January 11, 2021, the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) and in keeping with efforts to minimize the risks associated with the virus, the Main Offices of the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) located at 24 Church Street in Kingston, will be closed to the public today Tuesday, January 12, 2021, for a deep cleaning exercise.
In a post on his Twitter account, Mayor Delroy Williams confirmed that he was in quarantine and has made arrangements to be tested.
The deep cleaning measures are to further protect the public and staff of the Corporation.
In keeping with standard protocols, members of staff who came in close contact with the infected person are isolated at home and will be tested by the Public Health Authorities.
The KSAMC regrets any inconvenience to the public and will reopen for business on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the usual hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
