Argentina captain Lionel Messi continues to show his World Cup winning form after scoring a hattrick marking his 100th international goal.

The Argentines defeated Curacao 7-0 on Tuesday.

All eyes were on Messi after he scored his 99th career goal following a brilliant free kick in Argentina’s 2-0 win over Panama

However, in the friendly against Curacao, the Paris Saint Germaine (PSG) striker did not take long to cross into triple figures after giving the South Americans the lead in the 20th minute.

He then added his 101st Argentina goal 10 minutes later to make it 3-0 after Nicolas Gonzales doubled their advantage in minute 23.

Messi then completed his hattrick in the 37th minute following an Enzo Fernandez’ strike two minutes before to underscore a ruthless first half that yield five goals for the World Champs.

Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Montiel concluded the routing with strikes in the 78th and 87th minutes to make it seven, as they continue to rebuild their unbeaten streak after falling just short of Italy’s record at the World Cup.

That will be their last game for a few months as the international break ends and club football resumes later this week.
