Michael Sharpe, veteran broadcaster, has died. Sharpe had been ailing in hospital for some time.

As a youngster, Sharpe explored a district constable, however, the Jamaicans grew to love him him as a news presenter. He was especially known for his programme Your Issues Live on TVJ.

Sharpe was managing director of cable station Jamaica News Network which is under the RJR Communications Group and also shared his knowledge as  Professor of Business and Media Studies at Northern Caribbean University, (NCU).
