Minister Marion Hall is set to make her return to the stage where she was officially crowned Queen of the Dancehall under her former moniker ‘Lady Saw’ after being confirmed for this year’s Reggae Sumfest which is set for July 16-22 in Montego Bay.

Minister Hall’s performance which is set for the closing night on the 22nd, was officially unveiled via Sumfest’s Instagram page on Thursday.

The performance will be Marion Hall’s first major gig on the island since her departure from secular music for her walk in Christendom in 2015.

Marion Hall also confirmed her scheduled performance on the show via an instagram post of her own. She captioned it, “Let’s see what God is up to.”

While she is billed as Minister Marion Hall, it’s likely that her song selection may be guided by a divine playlist.

Questions and speculations have been increasing in response to the announcement.

“So all Christians must come reggae sumfest too???? Mi confused😢😢” one user wrote.

“Is she coming as a minister or..? Because if she’s coming as a minister y’all need to use a different pic. That pic insinuates that she is coming as lady saw and not minister hall 🤷🏽‍♀️” another user reacted.

“Who is she coming as lady saw or a minister?” another said adding “mumma saw night 1 and Minister Hall night 2?”

There’s now heightened intrigue in anticipation for the return of the dancehall monarch.
