A Minnesota woman is suspected to have drowned her three children in a lake before taking her own life hours after her husband’s suicide on Friday, July 1.

Reports indicate that around 10:30 a.m., deputies from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office along with officers from the Maplewood Police Department responded to a trailer park on a call of a possible suicide.

Reports further stated that upon arrival, authorities discovered the remains of Kos Lee at the Rolling Hills Estates Mobile Home Park. His age and cause of death have not been revealed.

Approximately five hours after the scene was processed at around 4:00 p.m., authorities were called to Vadnais Lake following a report about a possibly suicidal woman who was on her way there with her children.

The park was closed and a subsequent search was launched for 23-year-old tattoo artist Molly Cheng and her children.

At around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, a boy’s body was recovered from the lake, and just before midnight, another boy was located dead in the lake.

Cheng’s remains and that of her daughter were retrieved on Saturday at around 11:00 a.m.

As it now stands, detectives have launched an investigation into the possible triple murder-suicide at the lake.
