With the 72nd Miss Universe pageant set for next month, Jamaica’s representative Dr Jordanne Levy is currently in Miami increasing her support as the voting started for the ladies to secure their spot in the semi-finals.

Initially, it was speculated that the semifinalists would return to 20, similar to the number of semifinalists between 2018 and 2019. However, due to the limited telecast time of the final event, the number of semifinalists was retained to 16 — the same number of semifinalists in 2021.

This means Dr Levy will need to campaign hard to obtain one of the 16 spots and she says, “The time is NOW to VOTE for JAMAICA.”

A total of 90 Miss Universe delegates are seeking to get a semi-final spot to represent their country and the voting element allows for those liked universally to secure their spots.

Dr Levy left Jamaica on Wednesday to tour South Florida and made her first stop at the Jamaica Tourist Board offices and also did some strutting at the famous Wynwood community known for its colorful murals.
