Mount Pleasant came into the quarterfinals of the Jamaica Premiere League leading Harbour View 3:1 with all to play for.

The Starts of the East had no intention to roll over and surrender to their opponents and seized the initiative by scoring an early goal within ten minutes of the start of the game. Mount Pleasant stepped up their game to maintain their initiative and the next forty minutes was entertaining as Mount Pleasant and Harbour View sought to extend their lead and claw back the deficit. This resulted in a test of patience for the referee with the number of fouls committed during the first half.

Mount Pleasant drew level in the second half due to a defencive error by the Harbour View defence and their goalkeeper to level the score 1:1. Despite an increase in the intensity of the game the result at the end of 90 minutes was Mount Pleasant Academy 4 and Harbour View FC 2.

Mount Pleasant will meet Waterhouse in the semi finals on Saturday September 25.
