Movado’s son found guilty of murder; sentencing set for March

Dante Brooks, the 18-year-old son of artiste Mavado, has been found guilty of murder.

He is to be sentenced on March 10.

Brooks and his co-accused , Andre Hinds, were arrested and charged in connection with the killing of Lorenzo Thomas in Cassava Piece, St Andrew on June 5, 2018.

Reports are that Brooks and four others entered Thomas’ house and shot him.

They allegedly attempted to sever his head, but abandoned that action as they machete was dull.

They then reportedly set the body and the house on fire.

Brooks was also charged for illegal possession of firearm and arson.
