The residents and staff at five children’s homes in St Andrew, St Catherine, Clarendon, Trelawn, and St James, happily kicked off their holiday celebrations this week with specially catered meals and gifts from Pizza Hut Jamaica.

Over 160 children at the St Augustine Boy’s Home, Blossom Gardens Children’s Home, Granville Place of Safety, and Nest Children’s home benefitted from the series of festive holiday treats.

Pizza Hut Marketing Officer Levene Sheriff noted, “Christmas is a time for spreading love and joy, and each year we do that by sharing the gift of delicious Pizza Hut Pizza along with the hopes of bringing a smile to the faces of young ones.”

She continued, “Even though our interactions are still limited as a result of the pandemic just the idea that we can make their day just a bit brighter is enough to warm our hearts.”

Youth welfare and development is a major pillar of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for Pizza Hut Jamaica and its parent company Restaurants of Jamaica (ROJ). Other philanthropic initiatives undertaken this year by Pizza Hut include donations of Pizzas to students at St Jago High and St Francis Primary School in celebration of Child’s month in May. Pizza Hut has also continued its ongoing partnership with the Ministry of National Security’s We Transform Youth Empowerment Programme.
