The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), is once again making an impassioned plea to the public to desist from what has been classified as PRANK Calls to it’s emergency number 119.

JCF notes that such non-emergency calls continue to waste its resources as they respond by sending officers on what turns out to be a wild-goose chase.

It notes, ill-use of the resources doesn’t allow for those in real need to benefit from the best and most timely assistance.

The appeal came from the police Emergency Communications Centre, while presenting to teachers, parents, and students from primary, prep, and secondary schools attending the JCF’s inaugural technology expo at the National Arena on Thursday.

The EXPO continues today (May 12, 2023) into Sunday with several security workshops and breakout groups using new technology.
