A probe has been launched by investigators to ascertain the motive behind the double homicide which occurred at the D and M HQ bar along Maxfield Avenue last evening.

The shooting claimed the lives of a man and a woman who are said to be residents of Harbor View and Sangsters Crescent respectively and left another male victim nursing gunshot wounds.

Preliminary reports indicate that around 9:00 p.m., armed men entered the premises and held one of the victims who was in the yard. It is said the that the victim ran but was chased by the men who then opened fire killing him and another woman and injuring another male patron.

The victim was later taken to hospital where he was admitted in serious but stable condition while the bodies of the remaining victims were transported to the morgue.

As it now stands, the police are now asking the public to come forward with information that will lead to the arrests of the suspects linked to this deadly ordeal.
