Jamaica Reach to Recovery expresses its sincerest apologies to Jamaicans for the decision to close off registrations for the ICWI/JR2R Pink Run earlier than was originally communicated.

The group noted that due to the overwhelming amount of registrants, the deadline ended at the weekend.

According to Reach to Recovery, “Our commitment is to deliver a well-planned family fun run, ensuring that adequate parking is provided, enough security is in place, and that all participants have a fantastic experience.”

It says “In light of this commitment, we decided to end registration early due to overwhelming support.”

Reach to Recovery aims to provide equal opportunities for everyone interested, “we are guided by the logistical constraints of the Hope Botanical Gardens and the health and safety requirements outlined by the monitoring organizations, including the Jamaica Fire Brigade.”

The Pink Run has reached its capacity of entrants in record time.

Sandra Samuels, President, Jamaica Reach to Recovery says “We recognize that many have been touched by breast cancer and that you wish to stand in solidarity with us. We are extremely happy with the tremendous turnout and give thanks for your interest and as the awareness grows, we will endeavor to be more accommodating in 2024.”
