National senior Reggae Boyz striker Ravel Morrison, is reportedly among the list of recruits for new manager of Major League Soccer MLS team DC United Wayne Rooney.
According to reports Morrison who played for Rooney while he was manager at Derby County was among the first set of names the former Manchester United star contacted about strengthening the MLS team.
The former youth prodigy, who has played for 11 clubs in the past decade, was reportedly one of Rooney’s favored players while at Derby. He along is said to be among a handful of players on the former England captain’s wish list which is said to include ex-teammate Jessie Lingard.
Morrison is set to travel to US capital this weekend and is close to signing a contract with United a per Washington Post. The Athletic reports that the deal is a 2-and-half year agreement; with the first 1.5 years guaranteed and the remaining year a club-held option.
The Jamaican recently featured in the Reggae Boyz World Cup campaign.
