The Reggae Boyz advanced to the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Nations League following a comeback 3-2 win over Canada at the BMO Field in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday.

Goals from Shamar Nicholson and Bobby DeCordova-Reid ensured the Jamaicans extended their stay in the tournament.

Nicholson kicked off Jamaica’s fight back in the 62nd minute with a sublime strike inside the box to restore the overall deficit to one after Alphonso Davies opened the scoring for Canada in the 25th minute.

The Clermont Foot striker, who scored for Jamaica in the opening leg, added to his tally four minutes later to give Jamaica a 2-1 lead in the fixture to level the aggregate score 2-2.

Despite Ismael Kone giving the host the advantage with a 69th-minute strike, DeCordova-Reid restored Jamaica’s lead following a 78th-minute penalty to make it 3-2 (4-4 on aggregate.)

Despite being reduced to 10 men late in the game following a Demarai Gray red card, the two-time CONCACAF Gold Cup finalists held on to pull off a dramatic win on away goals scored and book their spot in the next round.

The Boyz will now face the US in the semi-final stage.
