The National Senior Reggae Boys will officially begin life after World Cup Qualifiers on Wednesday when they tackle Catalonia, in Girona, Spain at Estadi Montilivi.
The Boyz who missed qualification for the Qatar World Cup slated for late this year, will be using this fixture as an early start in preparations for their next campaign in 2026.
However, for the immediate future the match will be vital exercise for the Boyz’ upcoming CONCACAF Nations League Football Tournament which is set to kick off on June.
The team which will see Paul Hall continue as Head Coach for the fixture, will be comprised of a youthful squad representing Jamaica for the friendly International.
They will be led by Toulouse FC striker Junior Flemmings who will be playing in Ligue 1 next season, Tyreke McGee, Harbourview’s Ajani Talbot, FC Kopper attacker Kaheem Parris and New Mexico’s Neco Brett.
The squad will also see few new faces included on the match card such as; Charlotte University’s Kameron Lacey, and Omari Hutchinson of Arsenal Fc.
With the team playing without key players such as Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey, Spartak FC’s Shamar Nicholson and Damion Lowe of Inter Miami as well as regular team captain Philadelphia Fc’s Andre Blake. It will be an opportunity for fringe players as well as squad hopefuls to break into the first team, and impress coach Hall who is aiming for a complete rebuilding of National football program going forward.
Kick off time is set for 11.45 Jamaica time.
