Reining Caribbean football Champion, the Reggae Boys will be shooting for a winning start to their CONCACAF Nations League tournament campaign when they face Suriname today at the Flora Stadium, Suriname.

The squad who had a light training session on Thursday has shown confidence in getting a positive result.

With a relatively full-strength squad coming into the game the number 64th ranked Reggae Boys are favored to get the better of their opponents who are 77 places lower in the ranking at 141.

The squad which includes regular team Captain Andre Blake in goal, Damion Lowe in defense, along with strikers Leon Bailey and Junior Flemmings upfront are expected to deliver the goods for the back-to-back Gold Cup finalist.

This will be the first major tournament for the Boyz since their elimination from World Cup Qualifying and represents the first major assignment for retained head Coach Paul Hall in the rebuilding process of the national program.

The game will be the first in of four fixtures over two weeks which includes hosting the reverse leg against Suriname on June 7 at the National Stadium before entertaining Mexico on June 14, also at the ‘Office’.

Kick of time for today’s game is set for 6 pm.
