The Reggae Boyz are set to tackle South American team Peru in an international friendly at the Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru, tonight as they finalise preparations for a return to World Cup Qualifiers.

The game, which is their final match before the resumption of Qualifications, will see the Caribbean Champions play in their first competitive game under new head coach, Paul Hall.

The fixture will also act as a test for fringe players who have gotten a call up to prove their worth in the absence of notable regular staters, such as Leon Bailey, Mikhail Antonio, and Bobby Reid.

The team, which consists of mixed-bag youth players, will be hoping to gain positive momentum going forward against their South American counterparts.

The momentum which the team will need as they eye a return to winning ways in going into their World Cup campaign.

The back-to-back CONCACAF Gold Cup finalist has never beaten the South Americans, having suffered three defeats and a draw in their last four meetings.

However, the number 59th ranked boys who have been unbeaten in their last six outings, including a powerful showing against the US in their last game, will be looking to update history between the two with a tick in the win column.

The kick-off time is set for 8 pm.
