Reggae Boyz forward Demarai Gray seems to be the latest recruit to the cash-rich Saudi Pro League following reported interest by the Steven Gerrard-coached Al Ettifaq.

Noted football Journalist Fabrizio Romano shared news of the deal on Wednesday.

Gray, who plays for the English Premier League team Everton FC, has been an integral part of the Reggae Boyz set-up since his debut during the 2023 Gold Cup, where he scored twice and registered an assist in their campaign.

Demarai Gray nets the first of his two goals against Trinidadad and Tobago during Gold Cup group game.

Gray’s performances have not gone unnoticed by Saudi scouts who are seeking to create a rising super alternative to challenge European football’s allure.

In addition to being managed by Gerrard, he’ll be captained by another Liverpool great, former Champions League winner Jordan Henderson.

Gray will next be in action on home soil when the Reggae Boyz continue their CONCACAF Nation’s League fixtures against Honduras and Haiti on September 8 and 22 at the National Stadium.
