Reggae Girlz striker Melissa Johnson scored a hattrick in a player of the match performance to help Nottingham Forrest dismiss Wolverhampton Wanders ladies 6-0 in the FA Women’s Premiere League North.
Johnson opened her account in the 35th minute with a delightful volley from 20 yards, leaving the Wolves keeper helpless as the ball looped over her head and into the goal to make it 2-0 after Kate Longhurst’s 13th opener.
The Jamaican returned two minutes later with a tap-in following a scramble inside the box to make it 3-0 after 34 minutes.
Johnson finished off her hattrick in the 56th minute with a technically sound curler to the left corner of the goal inside the box for her first three-timer with the club.
The win, Nottingham’s third in as many games sees them move to third on goal difference with a maximum of nine points.
