Barbados-born singer Robyn Fenty can now add ‘wealthiest female musician in the world’ to her resume, according to business magazine Forbes.

Fenty, more popularly known as Rihanna, now has a net worth that stands at a whopping $1.7 billion, putting her second only to legendary talk show host and television producer Oprah Winfrey who boasts a net worth value of $2.7 billion.

Rihanna’s companies Fenty Beauty, of which she owns 50 per cent, and Savage x Fenty, along with wealth accumulated throughout her singing and acting career account for the figure.

While Rihanna’s business ventures have been nothing short of lucrative, her fans, affectionately called The Navy, are more concerned about her lack of music releases since her 2016 album Anti.

Despite the desperate pleas from fans, the Love on The Brain artiste continues to tease with her upcoming project, a dancehall/reggae fusion album. The album, tentatively dubbed R9, is set to feature Jamaica’s fast-rising sensation Koffee as a writer. This was revealed in a BET interview with California rapper Haiti Babii.
