Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to return to United duties on Sunday when the team lines up to face La liga side Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford.

The Portugal captain who was adamant on a move away from the club this summer, despite the Man U’s stance on offering him for sale, gave the clearest indication of his return for Club duties via an Instagram comment.

The forward gave hope to the united faith following his response under a Ronaldo fan page about him missing the game in Norway, where he wrote: “Domingo o rei joga” which translates as “Sunday the king plays”.

Ronaldo missed the club’s pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia due to personal reasons and was also left out of United’s squad for Saturday’s friendly with Atletico Madrid in Oslo, as the United management scramble to find an amicable break to the impasse.

This development comes just 48-hours following his meeting with club Manager Erik ten-haag where is reported that his desire to leave remains un wavering.

The July 31 game will be United’s final preseason fixture before their Premiere league kick off at Old Trafford on August 8.
