Legendary female hip duo Salt-N-Pepa will be further immortalized in entertainment history after being selected to receive their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The rappers will receive their star in the Recording category and will be the 2,739th star to be added to the coveted Hollywood strip.

The duo is set to officially receive their star on November 4.

 Fellow rappers MC Lyte and Roxanne Chante will appear as guest speakers of the event.

 The iconic group will see their star placed next to of another iconic female legend, Missy Elliott.

 Salt-N-Pepa, [ Cheryl James and Sandra Denton], rose to prominence in 1985, achieving three number  1s on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart.

They had five albums on the Billboard 200, winning the 1995 Grammy for best rap performance by a duo or group, becoming the first women to take home a rap Grammy award.
