Saudi Arabia team reportedly set to receive Rolls Royce for historic Argentina win

The entire squad of the Saudi Arabia football team is reportedly set to receive Rolls Royce cars upon their return home as gifts following their spectacular upset victory over Argentina in the World Cup Opener.

According to reports the gesture is a gift from Saudi Arabian Prince; Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud as token of appreciation for their football exploits.

Its understood that each player will be in receipt of RM6 million Rolls Royce Phantom which no doubt be an added incentive to continue their good start.

On Tuesday-the “Green Falcons” pulled off one of the biggest upsets in World Cup History, after coming from behind late to beat an inform Argentina 2-1 in the process snapping their 36-game unbeaten record.

 A result that reverbed around the footballing World compelling instances to the biblical story of David vs Goliath. It also in a sense created foreshadowing of upsets that would follow between other major teams and understated nations.

Reports of the luxurious gifts come days after Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, declared a Public Holiday in the country on Wednesday (November 23) to commemorate the historic feat.

 The Saudis are currently atop Group C with maximum three points, followed by Poland and Mexico who played to a 0-0 draw to be third and second respectively, while Cup favorites Argentina shockingly languishes at the foot of the table after one game.

Suadi Arabia will be targeting their second win on Saturday when they take the field against Poland.

A win will see them virtually secure a spot in the next round, while a draw will see their qualification go to the final game against the Mexicans based on other results.
