Dancehall’s “Scrocha” Sean Paul continues to reaffirm his music remains “ever blazing among the global listenership after his 2005 hit “Temperature” was Brit-certified double platinum in the UK.

The certification of the dancehall song verifies that it exceeded sales of 1.2 million units in the UK.

The update on the track’s status in the territory comes three years after its initial platinum certification (600,000 units) in 2019 by the British Phonographic Institute (BPI).

“Temperature,” which was the lead single for his multi-platinum-selling album “The Trinity,” topped the US Billboard Hot 100 charts following its release and was also the second number one on the chart for the “Duttyrock” boss.

The single spent 33 weeks on the UK charts, peaking at number 11.

“Temperature” is Sean Paul’s 11th Brit-certified platinum record and his third multi-platinum single in the U.K. following his collaboration with Blue Cantrell for their 2004 hit “Breathe” and his Dua Lipa-featured smash “No Lie” in 2016.

“No lIe” also went on to earn Sean Paul his first billion-stream video on YouTube, which also made him the first dancehall act to cross the 12-figure milestone on the platform.

The certification comes days after the recent release of the remix to his single “Summa Hot,” featuring Skillibeng and Busta Rhymes.
