Dancehall star Shenseea has officially received her first Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) gold certification for her feature on Kanye West’s “Pure Souls.”
The single, which also features Roddy Ricch as part of Ye’s Grammy-winning DONDA album, was officially ratified as a gold-selling track on Tuesday.
As previously reported by Sleek Jamaica, the single qualified for the status in March as music analytics tracker Chart Data declared that the song had exceeded sales of 500,000 units in the US.
This is set to be Shenseea’s first official gold certification in the US, having previously struck gold in Canada last year for her 2019 hit ‘Blessed’ featuring Tyga.
“Shenyeng,” who also collaborated with Kanye on “OK OK pt 2,” which also features Fivio Foreign, received a Grammy nod for the track in 2022.
The “Curious” singer, who has been on several collaborations over the past year, recently collaborated with Chainsmokers for their track “My Bad.“
