Dancehall star Shenseea qualifies for her first gold plaque in the US after her collaboration with Kanye West and Roddy Ricch on ‘Pure Souls’ was reported to have sold the equivalent of 500,000 copies in sales this week.
According to chart data, the track, which comes forms part of Ye’s 2021 Donda album, qualified for the certification on Thursday.
Shenseea took to social media to share the exciting news with fans via her IG stories.

The certification is pending official ratification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), which is expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
This is set to be Shenseea’s first official gold certification in the US, having previously struck gold in Canada last year for her 2019 hit ‘Blessed’ featuring Tyga.
Shenseea, who also collaborated with Kanye on OK OK pt 2, which also features Fivio Foreign, had previously received a Grammy nod for the track in 2022.
She is set to hit the Rolling Loud stage this weekend in Inglewood, California where she will share the stage with Lil Wayne and Future on Sunday’s closing day.
