Fast Rising Dancehall star Silk Boss has once again become a trending topic, but this time for his music.

His latest release, Surgery, has risen almost immediately to the second most trending songs on the island after just three days.

Surgery is the first release since his debacle with former manager Terro Don. Whilst not implicitly directed at his onetime business associate, it could easily be deduced that the single draws its inspiration from the recent fall out.

Surgery shows an emotional lamentation on feelings of betrayal as Silk Boss expresses feeling like he was severely hurt and upset, as he likened the situation to an emergency-like scenario.

The singer has generated over 500,000 views since the song dropped on Wednesday, to outpace his previous hit ‘Off Guard’ released two weeks ago, which remains in the top 20 most trending songs in Jamaica.

Last week the artist became the country’s top searched person on social media after a leaked footage of him and girlfriend Brii surfaced. He subsequently accused his former manager of its public release.
