Spanish town Journalist slapped with firearm possession charge

A 24-year-old Journalist was on arrested and charged on Wednesday after police discovered an illegal firearm in his vehicle the Spanish Town bypass.

The accused is Naceme Campbell a resident of a Job Lane, Spanish Town.

According to police reports, at around 1:30 p.m., Campbell was seen driving a Toyota Wish motor car when he was signalled to stop.

After he complied with the request, officers ordered a search of the vehicle which yielded a firearm with a magazine which was found in a black knapsack.

Shortly after the discovery was made, the suspect was taken into custody where he was later charged with illegal possession of a firearm. In the interim, a court date is being finalized for the accused.
