Dancehall’s ‘trending boss’ Squash, continues to live up to that moniker, with his latest track ‘Foot’ standing firmly as the number 1 most streamed track on the island according to popular streaming platform YouTube.
‘Foot’ which was released on July 4, has garnered over 640,000 views thus far, sprinting to the top of current releases listened to on the island.
The track which seems more geared towards a danceable tone in its composition, clearly takes its cue from the Artiste’s previous hits, which attributes a lot of its success to the viral-like dance routines attached to the singles.
“If it’s not broken don’t fix it” the popular adage states; and Squash seems to be following suit. He is has clearly stayed with the formula that has proven successful thus far.
The single which is entering its fifth day of release, represents now his third number 1 trending song on the platform in two months and fourth in 60 days, replacing previous top song ‘Don Dada’ which climbed to the summit two weeks prior.
Other top singles included Sweepstakes life, Lattry, 6-rack.
The with current output the Montego Bay born artists has the highest average of songs trending in the top five this year, with other popular release such as ‘Amabala’ and ‘Ready’ also finding residence among top trending songs.
Only Skeng Don and Masicka has challenged that influence thus each also having multiple number 1 trending songs this year already respectively.
Skeng of course previously holding the top spot for three consecutive weeks with ‘Gang Bang’.
