Police have assured that the senior directors of the embattled Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) will be questioned later this week.

So far, investigators have gathered statements from investors in the firm and will focus their attention on the Senior Directors.

The questioning will mainly surround the findings made by the Financial Services Commission about the irregularities that were uncovered in 2016. One of the noted irregularities was the institution’s failure to answer questions about its finances.

Since the billion-dollar fraud scheme which fleeced several of the entity’s clients of their investments, one of which includes record-holding sprint legend Usain Bolt OD, the entity has been placed under the temporary management of the FSC.

Additionally, on Friday FID investigators and members of the Fraud Squad conducted a raid at two properties of Jean Panton who is at the center of the investigation.

Investigators seized documents, phones, and electronic devices. The investigators also noted that they are closer to laying charges against the accused.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Holness and Minister of Finance Dr Nigel Clarke have pledged full transparency in the investigation and have vowed to provide the nation with updates as they are made available.
