The sold-out 8th Annual Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise has been treated with Grammy-like performances by reggae icons Nadine Sutherland, Wayne Wonder, Capleton, Sean Paul, Damian Jr Gong Marley along with stars TIFA, Naomi Cowan, and Ding Dong, on the Caribbean sea.
From rastamen chanting to Naomi Cowan who gave an intimate set, strumming her guitar. The Starlight singer was indeed a hit with many as they vibed to her music.
For the Paradise Plum singer, it was an “unforgettable experience”
But it was the “Jamrock captain” Jr Gong, who ignited the ship with several hits.
Also, his brothers Ky-Mani and Stephen gave patrons amazing performances signing songs from their father (Bob Marley) and their own hits.
As the organiser of the cruise, Gong also made sure to share his time among the people ensuring that they had a more than memorable time.
The “Fyahman” Capleton, turned up energy with his usual acrobatic style of performance.
The musical icon Wayne Wonder was a top performer as well. For many, he connected with couples onboard through his hits “No Letting Go” – “Bonifide Love” and “Bounce Along.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Spell it Out’ Queen, TIFA did not have to ask “Ah Wah duh D.E.M?” as patrons were excited to see her.
The lyricist pulled from her extended catalog, several hits that had everyone singing nonstop.
Ding Dong brought the rave as usual with a high-energy performance with his team. He had everyone dancing up a storm.
International Dancehall star Sean Paul brought the right ‘temperature’ with his fusion of dancehall and pop cultures.
Nadine Sutherland, however, was the talk of the cruise as she had everyone singing every line from her songs. This was no surprise as most of the patrons are from the US and Europe, where Nadine is extremely popular.
The 2023 Grammy winner Kabaka Pyramid is set to perform tonight (Friday, December 8).
The cruise began last weekend and took patrons out of Miami, FL to Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It runs for 5-nights onboard Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas.
