The New York Police department has pointed out that a suspect has been detained for the killing of a Jamaican woman who was on her way to work on Sunday.

34-year-old Anthony Wilson was arrested on Monday and is slated to be charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Reports state that Wilson was drunk and high when he stabbed 50-year-old Clarke- Rozier in the back as she walked through a parking lot on Albany Avenue on her way to work early Sunday.

Clarke’s sister noted that her sister’s death was heartless and fails to understand why anyone would kill her sister.

“That means you’re not safe on the road anymore you know? People could just walk up and look at an innocent person and just stick a knife into an innocent woman? That is so heartless!” she said.

Wilson is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

The judge ordered him to undergo a psych evaluation. He is due back in court on April 8.
