The long-awaited album “This Christmas” (I’d Rather Have Love) by the late iconic Teddy Pendergrass will make its digital debut on November 3 celebrating its 25th anniversary.

The infectious re-released album will offer a soulful blend of original songs like “Happy Kwanzaa” and “Christmas and You,” alongside classic festive tunes including Little Drummer Boy,” and “The Christmas Song.”

However, this is Teddy’s final studio album and the sole holiday LP.

It also includes his unique spin on holiday classics like “Happy Xmas (War Is Over),” and “Oh Holy Night,”

To celebrate the announcement, Craft Recordings has already made Teddy Pendergrass’ rendition of “Joy to the World” available for download.

His final album was released in September 1998 and debuted at No. 83 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Following the singer’s death in January 2010, “This Christmas” (I’d Rather Have Love) saw a spike in popularity and it peaked at No. 43 on the Holiday Albums chart.
