Telegram has now added a feature that allows WhatsApp users to transfer their chat history. The feature is available for both iOS and Android.

The idea of losing chat history was a major concern and probably one of the stronger deterrents for switching for users following the announcement of WhatsApp’s new privacy policy. However, users can now bring over their chats with media and continue their conversations.

WhatsApp has since delayed the change in the policy and has sought to reassure users that it will not compromise the security of consumers chats or profiles but that has not stopped the migration of consumers.

Telegram is boasting a huge increase in numbers over the last weeks with more than 500 million active users worldwide.
