A 35-year-old Texas teacher has admitted to coercing her 15-year-old male student into having non-consensual sex in the Biology classroom closet one year after her arrest.

The accused, Emily Marie Anderson, was arrested in August 2021 and charged with sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.

Anderson was also arrested in December 2021 and charged with a felony of improper relationship between an educator and a student.

Official reports state that the investigation commenced after a complaint was filed by the victim’s mother that she had discovered sexually explicit messages on her son’s phone.

The police traced the texts to Anderson, who was then a special education teacher at Canyon High School in New Braunfels, Texas.

A report from the institution also stated that Anderson had admitted to the police that she had sex with the minor in a biology classroom closet.

Anderson later pleaded guilty to the charges and is required to spend 60 days in jail over the course of her 10-year probation period. Anderson will also pay a $2,000 fine and complete 500 hours of community service.

Another aspect of the agreement will be that Anderson register as a sex offender for the rest of her life. The judge also filed a protective order that prohibits her from contacting the victim.
