As early as November, visitors travelling to the United States of America will be expected to present proof of their full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to boarding their flights.

This news comes from the administration of President Biden following Monday’s announcement of the revocation of America’s travel ban against some 33 countries.

Travellers will also be required to present a negative COVID-19 test issued within three days of departure. Returning Americans however, will not be required to be vaccinated but have to present a negative test issued within one day of their arrival.

Jeff Zients, White House coronavirus response coordinator, said in a statement:

“This is relying on individuals, rather than a country-based approach, so it’s a stronger system.”
