Tommy Lee confirmed for Sumfest

Just days following his release from detention, Dancehall star Tommy Lee Sparta has hit the ground running after being confirmed as the latest major act added to the Reggae Sumfest line up which is slated for July 16-21.

Tommy Lee who was officially released from a three-year prison term for illegal possession of a firearm to much fanfare on Thursday was confirmed as a performer on the show via its Instagram page on Monday.

The artiste also shared the news on his IG page.

The performance will be a homecoming of sorts for the Montego Bay native who has retained a strong fanbase in his hometown where the annual festival is being hosted.

Home crowd pull is expected to be a major contributor to the patron turnout on his performance night of July 21.

Despite being incarcerated for of three years, he maintained a presence on the dancehall charts with massive features such as the Skeng Don’s-Protocol and Protocol 2 as well Valliant’s Guzu Bunx and Fada Rock.
