Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta was further remanded yesterday when his illegal gun and ammunition possession charges were called up yesterday.

The entertainer whose given name is Leroy Russell is scheduled to return on February 3 when it is expected that a bail application will be made.

Attorneys Donahue Martin and Tom Tavares-Finson, QC represent the entertainer.

The matter was ‘in-camera’ and so the parties cannot speak publicly on yesterday’s proceedings.

Tommy Lee was held on December 14 and has been in custody since.

Reports are that Tommy Lee was held along Holborn Road by members of the police SWAT division.

A firearm was reportedly found on his person.
