Tory Lanez hit with third felony charge in Megan Thee Stallion shooting case

The legal woes for Canadian rapper Tory Lanez continue to mount after he was slapped with a third felony charge in connection to the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case which is currently underway.

According to reports, the “Luv” rapper received the charge from prosecutors on Monday, accusing him of discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

A charge which carries a potential of a six-year prison term, with the rapper facing the possibility of deportation.

Lanez, legally known as Daystar Peterson also faces allegations that he inflicted Meg with “great bodily injury,” previously pleaded not guilty to one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle Variety reports.

During an emotional interview with Gayle King in 2021, the Savage rapper detailed her account of the incident.

“So I get out of the car, and it’s like everything happens so fast,” she started, “And all I hear is this man screaming. And he said, ‘Dance, bi**h.’ And he started shooting. And I’m just like, ‘Oh, my God.’ Like, he shot a couple of times. And I was so scared.”

Meg was reportedly shot by Lanez during an altercation between the two after a party in Hollywood in 2020.
