Jamaican Triple Jumper Jordan Scott put the world on notice early for his 2025 intentions after leaping to a personal best and world-lead distance of 17.8m on his way to victory at the Penn Select in Philadelphia on Saturday.
In addition to logging a new best, the distance also moved the Paris Olympian to fifth on Jamaica’s all-time list of jumpers.
Scott’s performance represents an increasingly progressive form as one of the world’s best following an honourable fifth-place finish during last year’s Summer Olympic games.
