Two additional persons charged in Seprod fraud investigation

Two additional persons have been charged in the ongoing multi-million dollar fraud investigation at the Seprod Group of Companies on Tuesday, April 18.

According to information from the Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), this brings the total persons charged in relation to the matter to 23.

The individuals charged are: Forty-one-year-old Andre Green and Twenty-eight-year-old Adrian Nelson, both truck drivers

Between Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13, 2023; C-TOC conducted special operations across Clarendon, St. Catherine and the Corporate Area where these individuals were arrested in connection with the pilfering and unauthorised selling of goods.

Just over a week ago, it was reported that the management of Facey Commodity, the Seprod Group called in the police to probe what was believed to be fraudulent activities being carried out by employees. Investigations by the JCF uncovered that between October 2021 and May 2022 approximately $160 million was stolen from the Seprod group.
