A funeral bus transporting mourners was shot up by gunmen near the Meadowrest memorial last evening.

The St Catherine North police are now probing the incident where two women have died and others have been hospitalised.

Reports are that shortly after 5 p.m., gunmen opened fire on the bus transporting mourners and the driver lost control and crashed into a light pole.

SLEEK understands that three police units provided assistance with transporting injured passengers to hospital.
