A Michigan woman has expressed her mortification after allegedly eating a Subway sandwich that contained feces.
TikToker @Kelscoyne shared her horror with followers of the predicament of her purchase.
In the video, she claims that a sandwich she bought earlier this week in West Lansing smelled like sewage after she took a small bite.
Also added that she was forced to spit out the sandwich once she tried to eat it again on her arrival home.
“I smelled the same exact sh*t and looked in the papers. I looked between the two papers in between the wrappers on the sandwich, and its sh*t, feces. I’m not sure if it’s a dog or a human, but the police took a swab of it. Public health is working on trying to figure it out ” she said.
The woman later said that she filed an online complaint with Subway and called their corporate office several times.
She alleges that the company advised she had to wait for someone to respond to the complaint.
The social media user shared with a commentator that she initially thought the food was burnt, but then the red sauce in her food turned brown. She also noted that she had to seek medical attention after feeling nauseous.
“I’m hoping my bite was far enough away, and yes I went to the doctors the day after, they gave me anti-nausea medicine and told me to come back if I had any food poisoning-like symptoms.”
Kels said a store manager was supposed to contact her regarding the incident.
The original video has racked up over 770,000 views, with follow-up videos having more than 200,000 views.
Other TikTok users suggested that she take further action against subway since she could’ve gotten very sick from eating the alleged contaminated sandwich.
“please don’t talk to them, don’t even accept a refund!! call an attorney ” one user stated.
“Guess who isn’t eating at subway until further notice @Subway” another responded.
“Please please please call a lawyer and do not accept a refund!!!!! You are about to be rich girly. Please LAWER up immediately !!!” said someone while another directly chastised the franchise
“@Subway you’re about to lose A LOT of business if you don’t resolve this.”
According to reports Subway has yet to release a statement regarding the incident which is said to be still under investigation.
