Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel reaffirms his global impact in music across genres after his iconic 2009 Major Lazer Collab-“Pon De Floor” was ranked among Billboard’s “Best 100 Dance Songs of All-time.

The iconic electro/ dub dance-inspired single was listed at number 60 on the updated list revealed by Billboard on Wednesday night.

The single  helped to catapult the mainstream success and acclaim of the dance/ dub Dj and production collective.

It also proved its compelling cross-genre appeal after being sampled as the main production for Beyonce’s 2011 Billboard Smash, “Run The World (Girls).

Peaking at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts Beyonce, Major Lazer link up has gone 5x platinum in the US alone.

Vybz Kartel is the second Jamaican to make the coveted 100-time list as the countdown continues, following iconic Grace Jones, whose dance/club anthem “Pull Up To My Bumper” was ranked 82 on Tuesday’s first phase reveal.
