Former NBA champions Golden State Warriors booked a return ticket to the Finals after beating the Dallas Mavericks 120-110 to win the series 4-1 last night at the Chase Centre.
Golden state who was suffering from a clean sweep after losing game four to the Mavs on Tuesday ensured that the series would not be extended beyond Thursday night with an emphatic 10-point victory.
Klay Thompson was the main man for the Warriors in the deciding game knocking down a high 32-points 2 rebound with three assist to lead the charge for the home team.
Warriors took the first quarters 28-23 before in the first before extending their lead in the second 41-29.
The Mavs however would take defeat laying down, fighting back to take the third quarter 32-25 before tie the fourth final quarter 26-26. However, the fight came a bit belated as they fell 10 points shy of the warrior’s total ending 120-110.
The result see’s the Warriors crowned as the Western Conference Champs and will now face either Miami Heat or the Boston Celtics in the NBA grand finale.
