The West Indies will be aiming for back-to-back wins in the 2024 T20 Cricket World Cup when they face Uganda in their second Group C game at Providence Stadium, Guyana, on Saturday.

The Two-time World Champions, who are second in the group on two points following a nervy opening win against Papua New Guinea, will be seeking a return atop the standings with a second win against the tournament ‘minos’ in Guyana.

The regional team, who are unbeaten in their five games, will start as strong favourites to extend their streak against the Africans. However, they’ll need to show a more imposing performance in the batting as the run rate could factor in deciding group honours.

Surprise leaders Afghanistan- four points after two games, currently have a strong +5.22 run rate, which means anything above that average will see the Windies return as front runners in the group stage, which influences who could play in the next round.

The match is set to bowl off at 7:00 pm.
