Yes, she does have a verse.

Jamaicans were in a frenzy last evening when dancehall diva Shenseea appeared on stage at Kanye West’s listening event for his upcoming album Donda in his hometown of Chicago.

Clad in a black catsuit, duster and sunglasses, viewers of the live stream could not tell who she was and questioned if the person they saw was billionaire singer Rihanna.

But those in the know instantly recognised the dancehall sensation from her signature iced-out SHENYENG chain.

Social media went rife with speculations that Kanye, who is currently “beefing” with Canadian rap powerhouse Drake, simply invited Shenseea to the listening party to upset Drake. The two were rumoured in July to be expecting a child together after an alleged “sneaky affair”.

The theory was, however, quickly shut down as the event wound down and song number 21 on the album, named ‘Donda’ after West’s mother, hit the airwaves.

The sound of the Be Good singer’s unmistakable voice accompanied the track. She is featured on the song Pure Souls along with Roddy Rich.

Also present at the event were controversial artistes Dababy and Marilyn Manson, Travis Scott and Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian.
