A 24-year-old woman of Free Hill St Ann was brutally murdered on Monday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Alisha Rose.

Reports indicate that around 1:30 p.m., residents overheard a heated exchange between the victim and an unidentified man at her home and summoned the police.

Upon their arrival, lawmen discovered the deceased in her yard with her throat slashed and the hands and feet bound. Since then, investigators have launched a probe to ascertain the motive as well as the suspect linked to the victim’s murder.

Rose’s murder also comes a month after a 25-year-old man was killed at the Dunn’s River park on Saturday August 27.

The deceased has been identified as Roshane Housen.

Reports indicate that sometime after 7:00 p.m., Housen was pounced upon by armed assailants who immediately opened fire killing him on the spot.

Police also theorized that Housen’s killing was primarily linked to the Steer Town criminal network in the parish.
