A 25-year-old Chicago woman who watched her former boyfriend murder six of his relatives, including two children, at their home and then helped him rob the victims, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Tuesday.

The accused, Jafeth Ramos, pleaded guilty to armed robbery as part of a deal with Cook County prosecutors in which she agreed to testify against her former boyfriend, Diego Uribe Cruz.

The mastermind Diego Uribe Cruz was sentenced to life in prison last month after being convicted of six counts of first-degree murder for the February 2016 killings.

According to reports, Cruz forced his aunt’s two sons, 10-year-old Alexis Cruz and 13-year-old Leonardo Cruz, to collect valuables from the home for him before he stabbed both boys to death.

After doing so, both Ramos and Cruz waited for his uncle to return from the restaurant nearby.

Upon his arrival, Cruz unleashed his deadly attack on his uncle and his aunt before escaping with $250, some jewelry, an Xbox game console, and a piggy bank.

The massacre claimed the lives of Uribe’s extended family, including Maria Martinez, 32; Noe Martinez Sr. 62; Noe Martinez Jr., 38; Rosaura Martinez, 58; 10-year-old Alexis Cruz, and 13-year-old Leonardo Cruz.

Meanwhile, Uribe’s attorney argued that the sentence given to his client was grossly unfair as he is incapable of killing six persons single-handedly.
