Gamers who are also KFC lovers will soon have more to be excited about as the fast -food giant has teamed up with Cooler Master and has launched a gaming console for PS5 and Xbox series X which comes with a built-in chicken warmer. Many thought that in June when KFC released a trailer for the console after the PS5 reveal it was a big joke. However, this joke has been taken far enough to result in the actual product.
The console has 4k and 240FPS capabilities. The full specs have not yet been revealed, but sources say it has an Intel Nuc 9 CPU, Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSD and an Nvidia GPU. Cooler Master says it also has “a first of its kind hot-swappable GPU slot for easy upgrades”. KFC’s PR boss Mark Cheevers has expressed confidence in the company’s flagship entry into what he describes as “a vicious console war”. According to Cheevers, “The console is capable of running games at top-level specs, all on top of keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming experience…what’s not to like?” He went even further to take a jive at tech giants Sony and Microsoft inviting them to get in touch if they would like tips on how to engineer a chicken chamber. No release date or price has been issued but gamers are waiting to see if this is a joke that has been taken too far.
